� � Bruce Packers Ltd. has been a family owned and operated business all of its 50 years of operation. It was first owned by the Bender family. In 1993 it changed hands and is now owned by Garry Van Loon and his family. Garry's daughter, Terri and her husband Ray Anstett manage the business on a day to day basis, but the whole family helps out when they can.
� � Garry Van Loon also operates Van Loon Farms Ltd. in conjunction with Bruce Packers. Van Loon Farms Ltd. is a modern swine operation near Dublin, Ontario. The ongoing use of the latest and up to date technology in swine herd mamagement practices, along with ultrasound probing, assures that only the highest quality pork is produced for Bruce Packers. Genetics are very essential to quality, and we believe that Bruce Packers' pork comes from the "top of the line". Crops grown for the feed intake of these animals are done with the greatest regard for our environment.
� � All of the pork at Bruce Packers Ltd. comes from Van Loon Farms Ltd. The meat products are further processed with the greatest of care to achieve "old fashioned" taste and quality. For example, all of our cured products are naturally smoked.
� � Most of our current customers are wholesale buyers for grocery stores, butcher shops and restaurants. Our valued customers are local as well as in the Guelph, Kitchener and London areas. We have trucks on the road daily delivering to many parts of Ontario.
� � We also have a retail store located on our premises in Paisley, Ontario. All of our products are offered at the store and many people keep coming back because of quality and freshness. Paisley is located in picturesque cottage country, just 10 minutes away from Port Elgin and Southampton.
� � Our entire staff is dedicated to producing #1 qualtiy products. We are a provincially inspected plant and must adhere to the regulations stipulated by the Provincial Government. We have a Quality Control Manager who will ensure that our plant has sanitation practices and quality standards are second to none. Our future goal is to have a HACCP plan in place at both Van Loon Farms Ltd. and Bruce Packers to guarantee that we continue to produce the highest quality products.
� � The uniqueness of our operation is the total control we have over the quality of our products from the genetics of the animals, their feed requirements, and the methods used in processing. This assures you, the customer, that only the best reaches your dinner table!
